Personality: The direct opposite of her wild and irresponsible uncle, Emma has a motherly, if not over bearing, nature that is equal to any fretful parent. Though she’s not terribly judgmental, Emma’s rigid goody-two-shoes beliefs give her a ‘holier then thou’ air at times, and she’s known to lecture and nag. Emma is also a proud teacher’s pet, though her obsessive need for good grades can get to the point of unhealthy. As a firm believer in the good in people, Emma has a sunny disposition towards all those she meets; She will almost always greet new people with a cheery smile. However her spirits are easily dampened by the many girls in school who will gladly insult her, and she’ll walk off with her tail between her legs. Emma’s bleeding heart may be vulnerable, but she’s a girl with unshakable beliefs and an unfailing love for her friends; she’ll help even her greatest enemies up when they fall.

History: Emma’s history practically mirrors her uncle’s, considering they grew up in very much the same world. She was born the daughter of Damien’s older brother, Matthew, a successful doctor like all the other Taite men before him. Matthew allowed his younger brother to live in his home according to the wishes of their father, and used him to baby-sit Emma any time her parents were unavailable. Unfortunately for Emma, her uncle was one to forget when the cycles of the full moon began and ended, and so there was very little he could do when he began to transform one night while babysitting. Emma tried to follow as he hurriedly locked himself in the attic, convincing her that they were playing a game, and that she needed to go hide. The werewolf soon broke through the attic and chased the terrified little girl into her kitchen. Emma used cleaning products she found in the cabinets to blind the werewolf temporarily, sending him yowling through the house; but not before the creature savagely tore at one of her legs. She was found the next morning by her parents, curled up in a kitchen cupboard and barely alive. When Damien was forced to explain what happened, Matthew and his wife were horrified and disgusted; The couple promptly threw Damien and Emma out of the house. The two have been living in the Taite family’s abandoned summer cabin ever since, barely managing to survive on the little money Damien earned from odd jobs. When things seemed at their absolute worst (Emma was about fourteen), Damien announced he’d gotten a job teaching music. She was understandably skeptical at first, but Emma did everything she could to help Damien make a good first impression, including giving him a full makeover. They were soon informed that Emma would also be attending the school, and was invited to live there; the two moved in right away, and haven’t gone hungry since.

Relationships: For all the bickering and fighting she and Damien go through, Emma deeply cares about her Uncle. She has little to no relationship with her parents, but she writes to her brothers now and then. She considers Ty Jones and Darren Green to be her best friends, and rarely are the three apart; She’s on good terms with most of the teachers due to all her extra effort and considers some of them to be friends. Emma also adores the dozens (if not hundreds) of rats that live and breed in her house.
